The Lock command sets the state of selected objects so they can be seen and snapped to, but cannot be selected for editing.
- You cannot select locked objects.
- You can snap to locked objects.
- Use the Layer dialog box to lock all objects on a layer.
- SubD control points, edit points, and vertices can be locked and unlocked.
Steps
- Select objects to lock, and press Enter.
To access hidden command-line options
- Type a hyphen in front of the command name: -Lock.

Enter the name of a set of objects to lock.

The Unlock command unlocks all locked objects.
