Named Positions |
The NamedPosition command saves and restores the location of objects.
Named Positions Panel
Toolbar
Save as
Saves and names the position of the selected objects.

Restore
Restores the specified saved object position.
- Double-click a position name to restore the objects.
Delete
Deletes the selected named position.
Update selected named position
Resets the location of all of the objects attached to the named position to their current locations.
Append to selected named position
Adds an object in its current location to the selected named position.
Select in document
Selects all objects tagged with the position name.
Move up
Moves the selected item up in the list.
Move down
Moves the selected item down in the list.

You can also use drag and drop to reorder items.
- Move up and Move down buttons are only available with Custom Order.
Right-click context menu
Sort By
Name Ascending
Sorts the list from A to Z.
Name Descending
Sorts the list from Z to A.
Clicking the name column header switches sorting order between ascending and descending.
Custom Order
Allows to sort the list using drag and drop, or the and buttons on the toolbar.
Custom order can be remembered when switching to other sorting methods.
Restore Named Position
Restores the specified saved object position.
- Double-click a position name to restore the objects.
Update Named Position
Resets the location of all of the objects attached to the named position to their current locations.
Append Named Position
Adds an object in its current location to the selected named position.
Delete Named Position
Deletes the selected named position.
Rename Named Position
Renames the selected named position.
Select In Document
Selects all objects tagged with the position name.
Save Object Positions As Named Position
Saves and names the position of the selected objects.
Drag and drop a Named Positions...

in the same Named Positions panel with Ctrl to make a copy.
