Volume

The Volume command reports the volume of the supported object types.

Volumes can be calculated on groups of objects that are not closed. This allows volumes to be calculated on surfaces that form an enclosed volume but are not joined.

Input

  • Surface, Polysurface, Mesh
  • SubD
  • When multiple objects are selected, the accumulated volume displays in the command history.
  • Cumulative volume is calculated from all objects in a group unless using Ctrl+Shift+click to select group members separately.

  • Group members that are hidden or on hidden layers will not be calculated.
