Shear

The Shear command skews objects parallel to one axis at a specified angle.

A sheared rectangle, for example, is transformed into a parallelogram. The sides of the parallelogram will progressively lengthen as deformation proceeds but the top and bottom lines maintain their original length.

Steps

  1. Select objects.
  2. Pick the origin point.
The base point does not move with the shear.
  3. Pick the reference point that defines the first point of the shear angle.
  4. Pick the shear angle.
