Material Browser

Create a new material based on one of the default material types.

Import a Rhino material (*.rmtl) on the disk.

Create a new custom material.

Select an existing material as the template to start a new material.

Enter a text string to list only those materials that include the string in their names.

The existing materials.

Displays items as large thumbnails.

Displays items in a compact list with smaller thumbnails.

Displays items in a hierarchical tree that reveals nested items.

Create a standalone material from the selected material.

Create a material instance from the selected material. The settings in the two materials are linked.
