The Hatch document properties manage loaded hatch patterns in the current Rhino model.
Options
Use Hatch Scaling
Enabled
-
Hatch patterns in model viewports are scaled by the Model Space Scale value.

Hatch patterns in detail views display with the same scale regardless of the zoom factor.
Disabled
Hatch patterns will not scale.
Model Space Scale
The scale factor for hatch patterns in model viewports.

These hatch scaling settings can be changed by the HatchScale command.

This setting is only used when Use Hatch Scaling is enabled.

This setting only affects hatch patterns that have their Pattern Scale set to Layout Units (Drafting).
Copy
Creates a new hatch pattern from the selected one.
Delete
Deletes the selected hatch pattern.

Default hatch patterns cannot be deleted.
Purge
Deletes unused hatch patterns.
Import
Imports hatch patterns from a .3dm or .pat file.

PAT 3.0 format is supported.
A PAT 3.0 file must include VERSION, UNITS, and TYPE declarations at the beginning of the file, like this:

Actions

Check the checkboxes of the hatch patterns to import.

Click the +/- button in the column header to check or uncheck all hatch patterns.
Search
Lists only the hatch patterns that have the input text in their names.
Pattern
Print and Display
Pattern Scale
Specifies whether the hatch pattern uses Model Units or Layout Units.

This setting is only available when Use Hatch Scaling is enabled.

If a hatch pattern is set to use Model Units, it is not affected by Use Hatch Scaling.
