Section Styles

File > Properties > Section Styles

The Section Styles document properties manage the display of hatch patterns on objects' clipping sections.

New

Adds a new section style.

Copy

Makes a copy of the selected section style.

Delete

Deletes the selected section style.

Purge

Deletes all unused section styles from the model.

Search

Enter text to only list the section styles with the text in their names.

Section Style

Name

The section style's name.

Hatch

Pattern

Click the pattern thumbnail to open the Select Hatch Pattern dialog and select a pattern.

Pattern Color

The display color of the hatch pattern.

By Object

The color comes from the source that could be the object, layer, or clipping plane.

Custom color

Select a color for the hatch pattern.

Pattern Rotation

The rotation angle of the hatch pattern.

Pattern Scale

The scale factor of the hatch pattern.

Background

The color fills the hatch boundary.

Viewport

The color is based on Clipping Plane settings of the viewport display mode.

Boundary

Show

Draws the boundary curves of the hatch.

Linetype

The linetype used by the boundary curves.

By Layer

Uses the layer's linetype.

Custom

Uses a custom Linetype.

Width Scale

The scale factor of the linetype width.

Color
By Object

The color comes from the source that could be the object, layer, or clipping plane.

Custom color

Select a color for the boundary curve.

Section open objects

Fills the closed section on an open object.

The Contour and Section commands (Output=All) always create section curves from objects, even though this option is disabled.
