The Reparameterize command changes the parameter domain of curves or surfaces.
Steps
-
Select a curve or surface.
-
Type a number for the domain start.
-
Type another number for the domain end.
The end value must be greater than the start value.
For surfaces, you are prompted to enter two sets of values for the U and V directions.
Command-line options
Automatic
Sets the parameter domain to approximate the size of the object. For example, a curve 5 units long gets a domain of 0 to 5.
Note
-
Reparameterizing does not change the shape of the geometry. It only changes the parameter range used to evaluate points on the object.
-
Poorly parameterized objects may not intersect and trim properly when combined with other objects. "Poorly parameterized" means the curve's domain or the surface's u or v spaces are tiny or huge compared to the size of the object.
-
If the selected object is in a block, a reparameterized copy of the object is created.
