Visibility

The HideInViewports command hides selected objects in some model viewports or in some detail viewports on the same layout.

Steps

  1. Select the objects to hide.

  2. Click the viewports where the objects will be hidden.

    Each selected viewport is marked with a "Selected" dot. Click again to deselect the viewport.

    Press Enter before selecting any viewport to select only the current viewport and finish the command.

Hides the selected objects in the viewports you select.

AllButSelectedViewports

Hides the selected objects in all viewports except the viewports you select.

The ShowInViewports command restores visibility of objects previously limited to specific viewports.

Steps

  1. Select the objects that are visible in a viewport but hidden in the others.

  2. Click the viewports where the objects will be visible.

    Each selected viewport is marked with a "Selected" dot. Click again to deselect the viewport.

    Press Enter before selecting any viewport to select only the current viewport and finish the command.

Visibility

The ShowInViewports command restores the visibility of selected objects in the current viewport if their visibility was previously limited to specific viewports.

  • This command can be used to access objects that were hidden by the HideInViewports command in all viewports.

Steps

  1. Run the ShowSelectedInViewport command.

    Objects specifically hidden in the current viewport temporarily appear.

  2. Select a viewport.

  3. Select the objects you want to show in this viewport.

The IsolateInViewports command hides all objects except the selected objects in one or more selected viewports.

Steps

  1. Select the objects to isolate.

  2. Select one or more viewports.

    Each selected viewport is marked with a "Selected" dot. Click again to deselect the viewport.

    Press Enter before selecting any viewport to select only the current viewport and finish the command.

The UnisolateInViewports command restores the visibility of objects hidden by the IsolateInViewports command in one or more selected viewports.

Steps

  • Select one or more viewports that have objects hidden by the IsolateInViewports command.

    Each selected viewport is marked with a "Selected" dot. Click again to deselect the viewport.

    Press Enter before selecting any viewport to select only the current viewport and finish the command.
