The Constraints command opens the Constraints panel.
Command-line options
Type the scriptable command, -Constraints, to script visibility of the Constraints panel.
Show
Displays the Constraints panel.
Hide
Closes the Constraints panel.
Toggle
Changes visibility of the Constraints panel.
(Descriptions will be added when the UI is complete.)
Toolbar
Create constraint sketch
Creates a new constraint sketch.
Add objects to constraint sketch
Adds objects to an existing constraint sketch.
Add constraint
Adds a constraint to an existing constraint sketch.
Delete
Deletes the selected item.
- Or delete the constraint icon in the viewport.
Move up
Moves the selected item up in the list.
Move down
Moves the selected item down in the list.
Hide view icons
Hides constraint icons in viewports.
This button toggles the Show icons checkbox in the Constraints options page.
Constraint types
Length
Sets the length of a line.
Aligned length
Sets the length of a line along another user defined line
Angle
Sets the angle of an arc or between two lines.
Anchor
Locks a control point of a line in place with a point
Equal length
Sets a set of lines to have equal lengths.
Equal angle
Sets the angle between two pairs of lines to be the same.
Tangent arc
Sets arcs or lines to be tangent with an arc.
Collinear
Sets a set of lines to lie on the same line.
Length ratio
Sets a ratio between the length of two lines
Parallel
Sets a set of lines to be parallel.
Perpendicular
Sets two lines to be perpendicular.
On Line
Sets a line to lie on a user-defined line.
Vertical
Sets a set of lines to be aligned to the Y axis of a construction plane.
Horizontal
Sets a set of lines parallel to the X axis of the construction plane.
Coincident
Sets two points to be coincident.
Point on curve
Sets a point to lie anywhere on a curve.
Point along curve
Sets a point to be on a curve at the specified curve parameter.
Midpoint
Sets a point to lie on the mid point of another curve.
Equal radius
Sets a set of arcs or circles to have equal radii.
Radius
Sets the radius of an arc or a circle.
Offset
Offsets two lines, or two arcs, by a specified distance.
Distance
Sets the distance between two points.
Aligned distance
Sets the distance between two points measured along a line.
