To view or change keyboard shortcuts

Note

  • Rhino menus list the default keyboard shortcuts. If you change a command to a different shortcut, the menus do not update to reflect this change.
  • Many of these shortcuts can be changed and you can add new shortcuts and aliases.

View navigation controls

Rotate perspective views.

Keyboard: Arrow keys

Pan parallel views. Press Shift to pan perspective views.

Keyboard: Shift + Arrow keys

To rotate or pan vertically

  • Drag with the right mouse button up or down, and then press Shift.

To rotate or pan horizontally

  • Drag with the right mouse button left or right, and then press Shift.

Ctrl(CMD) +

 (Scroll)

Zoom view in/out.

Keyboard: PageUp / PageDn

Alt + 

Alt +  (Scroll)

Pan perspectives view in/out.

Keyboard: Ctrl(CMD) + PageUp / PageDn

Shift + Alt +

Tilt View.

To tilt with 5 degree increment

  • Drag with the right mouse button along the left or right view border.

    indicates angle snapping is active.

Keyboard: Ctrl(CMD) + Shift + PageUp / PageDn

Adjust camera lens length in a perspective view.

increases lens length. (Telephoto)

decreases lens length. (Wide angle)

Rotate camera.

To rotate vertically

  • Drag with the right mouse button up or down, and then press Shift.

To rotate horizontally

  • Drag with the right mouse button left or right, and then press Shift.

Release Ctrl(CMD) + Shift while rotating, and then press Shift again to lock the direction.

To rotate a plan view 90 degrees

  1. Drag with the right mouse button up/down/left/right to rotate the view.

  2. While dragging, press Ctrl(CMD) + Shift.

Selection

Add object to selection.

Shift +

Add crossed / windowed objects to selection.

Ctrl(CMD) + Shift +

Select polysurface/surface faces, edges, boundaries, mesh faces or edges, and objects within groups.

Ctrl(CMD) + 

Remove object from selection.

Ctrl(CMD) +

Remove crossed / windowed objects from selection.
