The RemoveFromGroup command detaches selected objects from their parent group.

Command-line options

Copy

Specifies whether or not the objects are copied. A plus sign appears at the cursor when copy mode is on. The RememberCopyOptions command determines whether the selected option is used as the default.

Command ⌘ + Shift + G

The Ungroup command removes the group status from a selected group.

SetGroupName

Set Group Name

The SetGroupName command names a selected group.

The SetGroupName command also combines groups by moving all selected grouped objects into a new group with a specified name.

Note: Group names are case sensitive.
