The Document Mesh settings control the global render mesh quality for the current model.
Whenever a NURBS surface is shaded or rendered, the surface first converts into a polygon mesh. These detailed render mesh options control how the NURBS surface is converted.
You can adjust these values if you are not satisfied with the default shade and render quality.
Uses a lower density mesh to shade objects more quickly with some loss of quality.
Uses a higher density mesh to shade objects more accurately with some loss of speed.
Fewer polygons More polygons
The slider roughly controls the density and number of mesh polygons created from NURBS surfaces.
