The ComputeVertexColors command evaluates the color of the texture at each texture coordinate (u,v) and sets the vertex color to the corresponding color.

The color of a mesh that is derived from a texture becomes part of the geometry.

Note: Material textures can be turned off or changed, but vertex colors cannot.


Select a mesh with a texture map assigned.
