The Layouts command opens the Layouts panel that manages the layouts in the model.
Layouts panel (Layout manager)
Toolbar
New Layout
Adds a new layout to the model.
Duplicate Layout
Makes a copy of the selected layout.
Delete
Removes a layout from the model.
Move Up
Moves a layout up in the list.
Layout order can also be changed by dragging.
Move Down
Moves a layout down in the list.
Properties
Opens the Layout Properties dialog box.
When no layout is selected, the Print button feeds the current layout to the print dialog. If one or more layouts are selected, selected layout(s) will be printed.
Import
Imports layouts from a 3DM file.
Search
Enter text to filter the layout list.
To sort the layout list by name or size
- Click the Layout or Size column header to sort the list in ascending or descending alphabetical order.
Right-click context menu
Set Current
Opens a layout viewport.
You can also double-click the layout item.
New Layout
Adds a new layout to the model.
Duplicate Layout
Makes a copy of a layout.
Delete
Removes a layout from the model.
Rename
Changes the name of a layout.
You can also select a layout item and then click the name column.
New Detail
(For current layout only)
Adds a new detail view to the current layout.
Prints the selected layout(s).
Properties...
Opens the Layout Properties dialog box.
- Some actions work with multiple layouts. Press Ctrl (CMD) + Shift to add more layouts to the selection.
- Most changes made in this panel cannot be undone.
- Set IncludeLayoutsInDocumentWindow=False in Advanced settings to display modeling and layout spaces in different windows.
