The PackSubDFaces command resets a SubD to the default face packing if adding creases or deleting faces breaks the quad grids.

In this example, deleting faces breaks the red rectangular quad grid. It is then divided by the PackSubDFaces command into two rectangular quad grids.
  • The PackSubDFaces command does not change the topology or geometry of a SubD.

  • SubD face packing always stops at creases.

  • The ToNURBS commands creates larger and fewer surfaces from a packed SubD.
