The Attribute User Text page lists the user text attached to the selected object.

Toolbar

New item

Adds an User Text key to the object. Prefix a key with a "." (period) to add a hidden key.

Hidden keys will not appear in Object Properties > Attribute User Text.

Text Fields

Retrieves information from the current document or object.

Delete

Removes the selected User Text key from the object.

Use the SetUserText command to remove a hidden key.

Import

Reads User Text keys from a .csv or .txt file into the object.

Export

Saves User Text keys in the object to a .csv or .txt file.

Match

Copies the User Text keys in another object to the current object.

Filter list

Hides the User Text keys that don't include the entered characters in the key and value fields.

Key

The name of the UserText key.

Value

The value of the UserText key.

Sort the list alphabetically

Right-click context menu

Select objects by key

Selects all the other objects that have the selected key.

Select objects by value

Selects all the other objects that have the selected value.

Select objects by key and value

Selects all the other objects that have the selected [key: value].

Objects that only have the key or value will not be selected.


Copy key and value

Copies the selected key and value to Windows Clipboard.

Paste key and value

Pastes the key and value from Windows Clipboard.

 

User Text can be copied and pasted between object and document properties. Attribute User Text is pasted to Document User Text in the format of <Key>:<Object Name>|<Value>. If the object does not have a name, <Object Name> is replaced by the object's GUID.


Filter to key

Deselects objects that do not have the selected key.

Filter to value

Deselects objects that do not have the selected value.

Filter to key and value

Deselects objects that do not have the selected [key: value].

Objects that only have the key or value will also be deselected.

 

Filter items are only available when multiple objects are selected.
